Traditional Stone Masonry

I found my passion for stone masonry while volunteering with a group in Perillos, France – a small, unpopulated village in the very south of the country. For a number of years, I spent my summers there working, building, constructing, and helping to teach others the skills of traditional French masonry while I, and the rest of the permanent team, worked with volunteers to rebuild, restore, and reinforce the village and its nearby castle.

I brought those skills home with me to the greater Kansas City area, where I continue my work, using traditional stone masonry techniques. I specialize in dry-stack and mortared walls, preferring naturally hydraulic lime mortars to cement-based mortars.
